SUMMARY

This study aimed to identify the educational effects of the extension centers (EC) in the field of agricultural wastes recycling in Qaliubiya governorate, the overall objectives of the study were to:
1- Determine the characteristics of the sample farmers.
2- Determine the degree of farmer's knowledge related to the agricultural wastes recycling recommendations (AWRR).
3- Determine attitudes of farmers towards (AWRR).
4- Determine the degree of farmer's implementation of the (AWRR).
5- Identify the most important factors affecting knowledge, attitudes and implementation of farmers (AWRR).
6- Recognize the extension services delivered by the (EC) in the area of agricultural wastes recycling from the viewpoint of farmers, and their awareness of the quality of the service
7- Identify problems facing farmers in implementing (AWRR),and suggestions to solve it.

To achieve these objectives, two farmers samples were selected, 160 farmers was drawn from those who are contacting the(EC), and 100 farmers from those who are not contacting it. The study was carried out in Kaluobia governorate
Data were collected through personal interview guided by a questionnaire which was pre- tested.
Frequencies, percentages, mean, standard deviation, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and step-wise were used to analyze data.

The main findings of the study could summarized as follows:
1- The educational effects of the (EC) in the field of agricultural wastes recycling (AWR).
a- Knowledge degree of farmers of the(AWRR) finding indicated that 39.4% of farmers who are not contacting had a high knowledge degree compared with non of farmers who are not contacting (EC) in the same category. Also there was a significant difference between farmers groups in relation to the total knowledge degree, so the calculated (t) value was 24.09. It was found that the experience in (AWR) and attitudes towards protecting environment, these two variables were responsible of 24.2% of the variance of the knowledge degree.
b- Attitudes degree towards (AWR) Findings reported that 35% of farmers who are who are contacting (EC) were in the highest attitudes degree compared with non of the second group, also there was significant differences between the two group in relation to attitudes degree, so the calculated (t) value was 17.81. It was found that size land holding and attitudes towards protecting environment were the must important variables affecting the attitudes degree and responsible of 3.9% of variance of the attitudes degree.
c- The implementation degree of the (AWRR) it was found that 4.4% of farmers who are contacting the (EC) was in the high category of the implementation of the(AWRR) compared with non of the second group. Also there was a significant difference between the groups in relation to the implementation degree, so the calculated (t) value was 15.81. It was found that the experience in (AWR), age, opinion leadership were the most important factors affecting the implementation degree. and responsible of 66.5% of variance of the implementation degree.

2- The problems facing farmers in(AWR) the main problems facing farmers were lack of abundance processor machines 25% lack of feeding liquid 20.6%, the high price of feeding liquid 18.1%, the high price of plastic 13.7% , lack of Ammonia gas 11.8%, and lack of piston 10% , farmers suggestion to solve these problem were price supporting to the(AWR) equipments 34.4% availability of pistons and abundance processor machines in the agricultural administration 18.8% and availability of the feeding liquid 17.5% .

3- Services delivered by the (EC) in the field of (AWR) finding indicated that 97.5% of farmers who are contacting the (EC) reported that this centers provided services to them such as holding seminars 94.4%, demonstration in the field of fodder and fertilizers 84.4%, field visits 54.4% providing of plastics 50.6% and availability of the extension pamphlets 43.1%.
The most important suggestion of farmers were holding seminars in a suitable time 26.9%, increase numbers of seminars 10%, increasing numbers of the extension pamphlets 10%, increasing numbers of the demonstration in(AWR) 6.9%, and the availability of pistons in the (EC) 10% .
Finding also showed that 46.3% of farmers realized the high quality services delivered by the (EC).
